Who We Are

At Voltify, we are building the next generation of rail - battery locomotives that fast charge autonomously and dynamically through a dedicated self-sustained microgrid network.

We are bringing back the power to the industry and eliminating the dependency on fossil fuels.

Lowering the rail industries main expense - energy - by more than 20%.

This is over $3B yearly just in North America.

We are already working with some of the largest global rail companies with over $50M in contingent orders.

We have raised over $30M from top tier funds and strategics and rapidly growing.

Our founding team has a proven track record in building billion $ public companies in renewable energy and infrastructure.

Job Summary

Boilermakers perform skilled fabrication, assembly, modification, inspection, and repair of roadway equipment machinery used in railroad operations.

This role requires advanced proficiency in welding, metal fabrication, structural assembly, and the safe operation of a wide range of industrial tools and equipment. Boilermakers ensure the structural integrity, reliability, and safe performance of locomotive and heavy-equipment components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and modify locomotive structures, components, and heavy sheet-metal parts using welding, cutting, riveting, bolting, soldering, and grinding techniques.
  • Operate shop machinery, tools, vehicles, and equipment, including drill presses, punch presses, power saws, grinders, impact wrenches, acetylene and plasma torches, and electric/gas welding equipment.
  • Safely and effectively operate acetylene torches, plasma torches, non-powered hand tools (pliers, wrenches, etc.), powered tools (drills, grinders, saws), and welding equipment.
  • Weld a variety of metals—including iron, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum—using gas welding, brazing, SMAW, MIG, and TIG processes in multiple welding positions.
  • Remove and install welded or threaded stay bolts, studs, plugs, and related components.
  • Operate overhead hoists, jacks, and lifting equipment to safely position and move heavy parts.
  • Read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, CAD/CAM drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Lay out, fit, and verify measurements for sheet-metal work involving 13-gauge or heavier materials.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions; ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are in safe operating condition prior to beginning work.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety rules, procedures, and best practices.
  • Communicate technical information, job procedures, and work-related updates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
